Honouring those who served during the South Africa Boer War – the first conflict which Australia was involved in as a federated nation – this replica medal pays homage to the Queen’s South Africa Medal (QSA). Instituted in 1900, the QSA was awarded to all British and colonial forces who served in the Boer War from October 11, 1899 to May 31, 1902.
