In as issued condition, the five sovereigns feature the portraits by Mary Gillick (1957-68), Arnold Machin (1974-82), Raphael Maklouf (1985-97), Ian Rank-Broadley (2000-15), Jody Clark (2016-22) respectively – dates of our choice. A masterpiece of neo-classical art, created by legendary Italian engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, the reverse of each 22-carat gold coin is distinguished by the unmitigated magnificence of the St George & the Dragon motif.
