Recognising the courage of Australian servicemen during ‘the war to end all wars’, this replica medal pays homage to the WWI Military Medal. Instituted in March 1916, the WWI Military Medal was awarded to any member of British Empire forces for gallant conduct and devotion to duty whilst under enemy fire on land during the First World War.
