Australia Charles III 2023-Present Daniel Thorne Portrait Uncirculated 6-Coin Set

Australia Charles III 2023-Present Daniel Thorne Portrait Uncirculated 6-Coin Set

Notable for fantastic all-new presentation packaging, we are delighted to unveil the King Charles III 2023-Present Thorne Portrait Uncirculated 6-Coin Set!

The Thorne Portrait Set represents a key landmark in Australian currency history. Following the passing of Elizabeth II in 2022, and the accession of her son, Charles III, Australian coinage would bear the portrait of a new monarch for the first time in 70 years. First seen in 2023, on the $1, with the other denominations following in 2024, that portrait was created by Daniel Thorne, a talented young designer from Britain’s Royal Mint. In keeping with tradition, Thorne’s portrait of the King faces left, the opposite direction from the effigies of his predecessor.

Symbolising the dawn of a new era, this 6-coin collection includes Australia’s 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2, with each coin carrying the classic design for its denomination. In strictly Uncirculated condition, as good as the day they left the Royal Australian Mint, the six Australian legal tender coins are beautifully presented within an all-new, illustrated, richly informative pack!

Within the reach of all at this price, the King Charles III 2023-Present Thorne Portrait Uncirculated 6-Coin Set is simply a must-have for every Australian collector. Click add to cart now!
