Australia $1 & $2 Banknote Uncirculated 4-Note Type Set

Australia $1 & $2 Banknote Uncirculated 4-Note Type Set

Impossible to assemble from your change, with these notes having disappeared from circulation more than 30 years ago, this set gives you the chance to secure every Australian $1 & $2 banknote type in strictly Uncirculated condition!

A comprehensive collection, the Australia $1 & $2 Banknote Uncirculated 4-Note Type Set is headlined by Australia’s first $1 & $2 banknote types. Issued only from the inception of decimal currency in 1966 until 1972, and extremely scarce in superior grade, these notes are recognised by the ‘Commonwealth of Australia’ banner.

In 1973, with the Whitlam Labor Party Government seeking to assert greater independence from Great Britain, the ‘Commonwealth’ banner $1 and $2 were replaced. The $1 & $2 banknote types that replaced them – distinguished by a banner reading simply ‘Australia’ – are both represented in this collection. Importantly, all four notes are in pristine, unused, strictly Uncirculated condition, with each 4-note set housed in a hardback presentation folder – signatures of our choice.

Defined by superb presentation, Uncirculated quality and outstanding value-for-money value, these sets are notable for strictly limited availability. With many of these key types now very scarce, we struggle to assemble many sets, and we always sell out at speed. only a tiny number of sets.
