Struck to Proof quality from 99.99% silver, and plated in 24-carat gold, this official Australian Show Product celebrates the Perth Mint’s first gold coin collector series – the Gold Nugget Program. A brilliant concept, the coin features a design created by Stuart Devlin for the first 1oz issue of the series, but ultimately never used. Depicting the Welcome Stranger – the largest gold nugget ever unearthed – united with a map of Australia and stylised sun rays, this design was overlooked in 1986 in favour of a different Devlin design, and was placed in the archives. Now, Stuart Devlin’s stunning motif has been revived to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of the series!

As is traditional with official Australian Show Products, the ANDA Hobart Money Expo Gold Nugget Program 40^th Anniversary 2026 $1 Gold-plated 1oz Silver Proof has an extremely low mintage.
