Australia Battle of Kapyong 75th Anniversary 2026 50c Stamp & Coin Cover
Headlined by an utterly unique not-issued-for-circulation Australian 50c type bearing an ENVELOPE PRIVYMARK, this official Australia Post Stamp & Coin Cover pays homage to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Kapyong.
Taking place from April 22nd to 27th, 1951, the Battle of Kapyong is regarded as the most famous action undertaken by Australian forces during the 1950-53 Korean War. Part of a combined United Nations force, Australia’s 3 RAR and Canada’s 2 PPCLI bore the brunt of a fierce assault from China’s People’s Volunteer Army (PVA) tried to break through the Kapyong Valley. Against all odds, the UN forces prevented the 20,000-strong PVA from taking the valley, and thus thwarted the Chinese/North Korean bid to capture the South Korean capital, Seoul.
A fine tribute to a major event in Australian military history, the Battle of Kapyong 75th Anniversary 2026 50c Stamp & Coin Cover is a must-have for coin collectors. Why? Because the superbly designed, one-year-only 50c found in this cover will not be issued for circulation and will never be found in change! Importantly, it is utterly unique – distinguished from the Royal Australian Mint’s standard Battle of Kapyong 50c by the addition of an envelope privymark! The perfect partner, each cover also features four official Australian Korean War 50th Anniversary 45c stamps – originally issued in the year 2000.
With the limited edition restricted to a mere 7,500, and our allocation tiny, we must – in the interests of fairness – apply a strict limit of one per household.
